Toyota of Burien Opens State-of-the-Art Showroom

After over half a century in its original facility, Burien Toyota is getting a new, state-of-the-art showroom facility to house its dealership on First Avenue South in Burien; still just about a mile west of Sea-Tac Airport (5-minutes from where 518 meets 405 at Interstate 5). Construction on the all-new 32,000-square-foot building at 15025 1st Ave South started early in 2016, with lots of earth-moving and installation of rainwater retention ponds that help protect the Puget Sound ecology. The new facility will replace the original showroom, which dated back to 1955 on the same site.

"We've enjoyed a long and successful history at this well-established Burien location, and look forward to continuing that history in a brand new facility," said Pat Dillon, General Manager;"The design and construction of this new dealership and service reception will allow us to further elevate the Burien Toyota experience and allow us to enhance our abilities to service all of our customers' automotive needs, whether it be for general vehicle inquiries, service and maintenance, business fleet and commercial needs, financing, parts and accessories or sales and leasing."

The state-of-the-art building on the 6-acre site features Toyota's new architecture and is a modern concrete and steel structure incorporating seismic footings and floor-to-ceiling glass in the showroom area, with a grand mezzanine. One special design feature of the new Burien Toyota facility is a multi-lane covered service drive entrance. This area of the dealership features an extended roofline and sophisticated technological enhancements to deal with the Pacific Northwest's unique climate. And special attention was paid to environmental concerns, which includes the 3,000 square foot roof being composed of eco-friendly "green" components.

The new facility will more than double the size of Burien Toyota. Space in the 32,000-square-foot building will include the new Showroom, along with the Service Drive, where owners can enter in their vehicles directly from First Avenue South. Connected to the Service Drive will be an all-new customer lounge with comfortable seating, big screen television, complimentary coffee and wi-fi.
