The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE)
announced its annual list of top 12 greenest cars and the Toyota Prius C is at
the top of that list.
The Toyota Prius placed third, Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid
placed fourth, and the Toyota Prius V placed eleventh. It should also be noted
that the Scion iQ placed ninth.
“This is great news,” said Nathan Ayers of Burien Toyota. “Here in the Puget Sound area, we care about the environment, so it’s a big deal that the Toyota Prius C was named the greenest vehicle on the road. Not only that, but getting 50 mpg really helps if you get stuck in that infamous Seattle traffic. Burien Toyota is the Prius headquarters of Puget Sound, so if you interested in owning the greenest car (or one of the greenest with any of the other members of the Prius family), then we can answer all your questions and support you along every step of the process.”
See the whole list HERE on the Greencars.org website.
In a list dominated by hybrid technology, it is impressive
that the Toyota Prius C walked away with the prize of this competitive list.
One of the things that put the Toyota Prius C over the top was the fact that,
in addition to low emissions, it also gets 50 mpg (combined).
"The Toyota Prius family is really diverse," said Ayers. "There really is a Prius for just about everyone."

Or, even better, stop by to take one for a test drive! It
starts at just more than $20,000, so odds are, as the greenest car on the road
and with 50 mpg, the Toyota Prius C will meet your budget and environmental
expectations.
