Scion FR-S is Performance Car of the Year

Scion FR-S is the Performance Car of the Year

In its first annual auto awards, CultureMap knighted the Scion FR-S as the Performance Car of the Year! The Scion FR-S was the brain (and love?) child of Toyota and Subaru, who each tapped into their individual expertise to create a serious sports car.

How serious is the Scion FR-S? Let’s just say the runner-up in this competition 2013 Porsche Boxter S.

Not only will you not have to pay nearly as much for the number one car in this race as you would for the first loser…er, we mean, second place…car (a Porsche), but the Scion FR-S is also one of those cars that makes “you want to get behind the wheel as often as possible…”

The Scion FR-S starts at just more than $25,000. The Porsche Boxter S starts at $61,000 and gets closer to $91,000 with all the options.

See how you’ll be getting more “Vroom” for you buck with the Scion FR-S. Check out this VIDEO  of the Scion FR-S (which literally made me say out loud, “That’s so cool,”) that will make you want to run to Burien Toyota and Scion to test drive the Scion FR-S.

This article promises that if you drive this stripped down, light-weight, rear-wheel drive performance car, you won’t miss the heated seats offered in other, more expensive performance cars. The suspension of the Scion FR-S is as “stunning” and the balance as “brilliant” as CultureMap says, so we’re pretty confident you won’t be focused on your bum. The Scion FR-S is an affordable and compelling sports car, and you’ve probably never seen anything like it.

Check out the Scion FR-S inventory at Burien Toyota and Scion HERE. Or even better, take the Performance Car of the Year out for a test run…because, really, what could be more fun than that? Stop by Burien Toyota and Scion and try your foot on the car that is sure to give you an amazing ride.
