Toyotas Will Have Sirius XM Satellite Radio

This week Toyota and Sirius jointly announced that Sirius XM satellite radio will be available on all new Toyota models, whether the model has the popular Entune infotainment system or not.

“This just one more step that Toyota is taking to give people what they want,” said Nathan Ayers of Burien Toyota. “Toyota is always striving to design automobiles and integrate technology in a way that gives Toyota drivers and passengers the ultimate driving experience.”

While Sirius XM has been available in some Toyotas since 2004, Sirius XM radio will now come standard on all new Toyotas. Here’s what Steve Cook, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Sales and Automotive at Sirius XM, had to say:

“Toyota’s significant increase in the availability of SiriusXM on its new multimedia system shows its commitment to giving customers technology that makes driving a Toyota vehicle even more enjoyable. Satellite radio is easy to use and according to a national survey it is a top feature for customers buying vehicles with new multi-media systems.  We are proud that Toyota sees value in making the world’s best audio entertainment available to even more of its customers.”

Local Toyota dealerships like Burien Toyota expect buyers to respond warmly to the new partnership between Sirius XM and Toyota.

“Buyers want options and by offering Sirius satellite radio on all Toyotas, we are giving buyers of all budgets more options,” Ayers said.
