Awesome!
Burien Toyota is awesome. Love the manager there. Sales men are not so pushy. Of course did have some negotiations where there was tension, but that's just business. I would def recommend this place! Thumbs up! Sales men Cory followed up with me and I have still yet to return his call on how I'm doing with my new vehicle :)

Quick, organized
There are only 2things I don't like about coming here. High priced, and it is so obvious and maddening that every single time (and every customer as I wait in the waiting room) there just "happens to be" something found that needs replacing. Seems phony and money hungry. I'd recommend, but I'd warn them about the tactic.

West Seattle News

 Seattle Public Schools Needs Advertising

Seattle Public Schools (SPS) is putting its newly adopted advertising policy to use. The district says in order to publish a district calendar for the 2012-2013 school year, it's seeking ad sponsors to help pay for production.

In a statement released to the media, Lesley Rogers, Chief Communications Officer for the district, said:
“During these lean budget times, many school districts have eliminated their calendar or placed it in an online-only format, which isn’t easily accessible to all families, especially those without regular Internet access. With these sponsorship dollars, we can continue to provide our staff and families with this useful information.”
In June, the school board agreed to bring back the advertising program, allowing the district to sell ad space on outdoor sports stadiums and the calendar.  The newly updated policy can be viewed online.
SPS says its annual calendar reaches 55,000 families, staff and community members every year. Interested businesses, nonprofits and community organizations can buy ad space in one or more months for the calendar.

Toyota Tacoma Seattle Area

Best Selling Midsize Truck

Watch out for this one. The 2012 Toyota Tacoma is clearly looking to start something. Like an ATV weekend in the mountains. Maybe just driving around the streets of Renton, Seattle or Bellevue. Or an off-roading trip to the desert. But there’s more to this truck than its aggressive new front end. Tacoma is built to finish what it starts.

toyota tacoma pic

It’s forged on massive one-piece frame rails with eight sturdy cross members and a fully boxed front sub-frame. It’s got a rugged fiber-reinforced Sheet-Molded Composite (SMC) bed that provides better impact strength than steel. Plus, a leaf spring suspension with staggered outboard-mounted gas shocks. And an available V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) that delivers maximum power on minimum fuel.

If you still want to up the ante, it’s also got a truckload of extras to choose from: an available TRD Off-Road Package with Bilstein® shocks, 16-in. alloy wheels with P265/70R16 BFGoodrich tires, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC),1 Downhill Assist Control (DAC)2 and an electronically controlled locking rear differential. So, a word to the wise: Try to stay on Tacoma’s good side. Get behind the wheel. The 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Moving Forward.

22. Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 23. Downhill Assist Control (DAC) is designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control and speed on steep, downhill descents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including speed, grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether DAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 24. The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key matches the code in the vehicle’s immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key, your Toyota dealer can help, or you can find a qualified independent locksmith to replace your key or perform high-security key services at www.aloa.org

Seattle Work Trucks

2012 Toyota Tundra

From the brochure....

WHEN IT COMES TO WORK, THIS TRUCK MEANS BUSINESS

Five years ago, when we set out to rebuild the 1/2-ton truck from the ground up, we weren’t fooling around. The 2012 Toyota Tundra is the latest example of what can be accomplished when you have an uncompromising work ethic. What do we mean by uncompromising?

First we conducted extensive research into what truck qualities are truly important to those who depend on their truck for a living. Then we brought our engineering expertise to bear on those qualities. The result is what J.D. Power and Associates has called the “Most Dependable Large Pickup” six years in a row. Remarkable acclaim, indeed. But then, Tundra earned it with a load of innovative features, like an available 5.7L i-FORCE V8 that cranks out the power to tow up to 10,400 lb. It’s also equipped with a stout 10.5-in. ring gear to help handle those five tons.

Not to mention massive 4-piston brake calipers to help bring it all to a stop without breaking a sweat. But Tundra doesn’t just work harder, it works smarter. Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) makes this truck as efficient as it is powerful. Why do we keep going to these extremes? Because when you’ve got a 1/2-ton truck carrying a reputation this size, you don’t take it lightly.

2012 Toyota RAV4

[Excerpts]

Official Toyota RAV4 Brochure

What does "RAV4" stand for? The answer is “capable.” Sure, if you want to get out of town, it can get you to plenty of camping spots. But the real story is that it will fit into nearly any parking spot. It’s available with seating for up to seven people, but it won’t require them to chip in for gas. And while RAV4 has remarkable cargo capacity, it’s hardly just a delivery van. With available features
like a powerful V6 and pavement-gripping 4WD, it’s a vehicle you’ll want to drive even when you’re not headed to the big-box store. Best of all, despite its compact size, RAV4 is big on safety features. Easy to load up. Easy to drive.  Easy on gas. And hard to beat.

We don’t change vehicles like we change clothes, with different outfits for different outings. The good news is that with RAV4, you’ll never feel like you need to. It handles both shopping trips and road trips with equal flair.

Forward-looking features. As well as upward-looking.

There are a number of reasons you’ll find the 2012 RAV4 so advanced. It comes standard with features such as hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology, a USB2 port with iPod® connectivity, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and Optitron instrumentation. In addition, RAV4 Limited features standard Smart Key System4 and dual zone automatic climate control. And RAV4 is available with a backup camera5 and a moonroof.
